CritterCoin allows you to create one school-wide reward store. You define the items for sale. These can be virtual things such as choosing a book to read to the class, skipping a quiz or tangible rewards like art supplies.
Every time a student earns a coin, their Rewards Store balance is increased by the point value of the coin. Students can browse the items for sale and purchase them, assuming they have enough points. The student will be given a QR code that they can choose to print.
The person(s) responsible for fulfilling rewards at your school should mark the student's purchase as fulfilled in CritterCoin. This can be done in several ways...
The following flow-chart will help you understand how reward purchasing and fulfillment works. Some school choose to have a dedicated physical reward store where students come to redeem rewards. Others choose to have all or some teachers to be responsible for giving rewards. CritterCoin supports all of these scenarios.
Step 1: The process begins when a student decides they want to purchase a reward.
Student Choice 1: The student has a choice of how they want to purchase a reward...
Option a) The student can purchase the reward in CritterCoin and receive a QR code voucher. After purchase the student has two options...
Student Choice 2...
1) Present the QR code to any teacher or designated reward manager student, who will then scan and mark the reward fulfilled and give the item.
2) Wait and Admins can view the open orders and approve and give the item, or deny and even issue a refund.
Option b) The student can ask a teacher to purchase a reward for them. In this case the teacher selects "Buy for Student" in their Reward view, then selected the student purchasing the reward. Next the teacher can mark the reward fulfilled and give the item, or the teacher can create a voucher for redeeming later.

TIP: Instead of managing inventory quantity, if an item runs out the Admin can simply disable the Reward until more are in stock.
TIP: If students purchase virtual Metaverse items like pets, accessories or food, the purchase is instantly and automatically fulfilled.
